The WWCOT merger strengthens and diversifies DLR Group’s leadership team. The senior leadership of WWCOT will continue to lead DLR Group WWCOT in their existing roles and will collaborate with DLR Group leadership to grow DLR Group WWCOT and the DLR Group brand.
Griff Davenport joined DLR Group in 1980. He has worked in several DLR Group offices during his career and founded the Minneapolis office in 1989. Griff was instrumental in growing the firm’s K-12 market share and award winning design expertise in the Midwest. In 2004, Griff turned his focus to growth and development of DLR Group’s Higher Education+Sports practice. Named managing principal in 2005, Griff collaborates with firm leaders and DLR Group’s Marketing Forum to craft the firm’s business and marketing strategy. Additionally he works closely as a mentor with Midwestern offices and the K-12 and Higher Education+Sports Forums. Based in Minneapolis, he spends time in each DLR Group office to mentor DLR Group’s next generation of leaders.
Dale Hallock joined DLR Group in 1972 and has been instrumental in shaping DLR Group’s brand for more than 35 years. A managing principal since 1984, Dale has guided DLR Group through a phenomenal period of financial growth with the firm moving into new areas of practice expertise and geographic markets. Based in Omaha, Dale continues to drive growth for DLR Group through national new business pursuits and acquisitions. He is an active with the World Presidents Organization and numerous civic organizations in Omaha.
Bryce Pearsall’s professional career has been with DLR Group, beginning in Omaha in 1971. He carried the DLR Group flag to Phoenix in 1979, and was named a managing principal in 1985. DLR Group’s design vision has been guided by Bryce for more than 25 years and today he is championing the firm’s embrace of the 2030 Challenge. Bryce continues to work from DLR Group’s Phoenix office. He is the current Chair of the American Institute of Architects Large Firm Roundtable, and a board member of the American Architectural Foundation.
Jon Pettit has been instrumental in leading DLR Group’s growth and mentoring its next generation of leaders. Joining the firm in 1977, he was essential in building DLR Group’s education design reputation in the Northwest. Jon guided the office’s integration of a major acquisition and led the growth of the firm’s corporate sector nationwide to triple in size during a seven year period. He was named managing principal in 2005, and works from the Seattle office. He guides the West Coast offices of DLR Group and is responsible for the DLR Group’s Justice, Corporate, and Practice Forums.
Adrian O. Cohen’s 33 years of broad-based project experience adds to depth and diversity of the DLR Group leadership team. He will lead DLR Group WWCOT, working from the Los Angeles location. His focus on exceeding clients’ expectations is solidified by his pragmatic approach to problem solving. Widely acknowledged within the profession for his talent and expertise, Adrian has earned the respect of owners, users, and contractors alike. Adrian’s leadership within the community has included his service as President of the Guardians for the Jewish Home for the Aging and various positions he has held with the AIA California Council and AIA Los Angeles Chapter.
Andrea Cohen Gehring will set the tone and guide the direction of design in the office, and work with DLR Group designers across the country to elevate the human experience. Her design balances the everyday concerns of functional clarity and financial discipline, with the creation of environments that provide a sense of excitement and passion. In addition to serving as a Regent of the California Architectural Foundation, Andrea recently chaired the AIA National Practice Management Knowledge Community. She continues to share her design expertise with colleagues across the United States.
Pam Touschner develops the vision and strategy for the firm and guides the growth of WWCOT’s Palm Springs and Riverside offices. She has gained great respect as a consensus builder for large and divergent constituencies. Assembling top design teams, creating a sense of collaboration with contractors, and building trust with public agencies, are just part of how clients benefit from her attention to detail. Pam served as 2007 President of the AIA/California Council, and currently leads the profession on a variety of issues as an AIA Regional Director. Her dedication to her community is exemplified by her service as 2007-09 Chair of the Riverside County Regional Medical Center Foundation.
